Sally Evans

Sally leads the transformation of AMP’s services to help staff manage their wealth and finances. Before this, Sally was Head of Retirement at AMP following five years as Investment Director, Aged Care at AMP Capital Investors. In 2002, while Healthcare Director, Asia Pacific, for the FTSE 30 Compass Group plc, Sally was awarded the Telstra National Corporate and Private Sector Business Women’s Award. She was recently named one of Westpac and Australian Financial Review’s 100 Women of Influence. Sally is a member of the Aged Care Financing Authority and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. With a background in public health, government and the corporate sectors, Sally creates the opportunity for the Board, staff, volunteers, sponsors and partners to support LifeCircle’s vision for all people to live their life fully to the end.

Tom Giordmaina

Tom is an IT professional whose career has spanned multiple industries such as Telco, Digital Media, Financial Services, Healthcare and Utilities. Tom is passionate about helping organisations change the way they think about and deliver IT solutions using agile methodologies. Tom joined the LifeCircle Board in 2016.

Ian Pollard

Ian Pollard

Ian is an actuary and Rhodes Scholar. He has been a director of many Australian public companies and is presently Chairman of Billabong and of RGA Reinsurance, and a director of Milton Corporation and SCA Property Group. He is also a director of the Purves Environmental Fund and the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists. In 1984 Ian founded DCA Group which ultimately became an ASX 100 listed company and was the owner of Amity Aged Care (now BUPA Aged Care). Ian has written a number of books and his principal interest is in the growth of human and social capital – in individuals, in teams, in organisations and in the community. For the past 15 years he has coached senior executives in major Australian companies through Foresight’s Global Coaching.

Melissa Reader

Melissa has been the CEO of LifeCircle since 2016. In this role Melissa has worked with the Board to transform a community-based 20th Century charity into a 21st Century social enterprise with a national agenda, through purpose-led strategy, shared value partnerships and human-centered design methodologies.

Peter Shorthouse

Peter Shorthouse

Peter is a Senior Partner and investment adviser with Crestone Wealth Management with over 25 years’ financial services experience. Following 7 years as a Chartered Accountant and management consultant with Arthur Andersen in London, Peter spent 10 years as an Equity Analyst with UBS and ABN Amro in London and Sydney. He has been with Crestone and UBS since 2005, advising UHNW and Family Office clients on portfolio construction and risk and liquidity management. Peter has experience with NfPs, both as an investment adviser and as a Director on two school Foundations and with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. Peter joined the LifeCircle Board in August 2015.

Nick is a senior human resources professional having worked with NAB and Oil Search with responsibility for operations in Australia, Asia, New Zealand, USA, UK and the Middle East. He has led the development and implementation of major change initiatives aimed at helping organisations use their human capital as a source of competitive advantage to deliver sustainable business outcomes. Nick is currently Principal Consultant at People Solutions & Services Pty Ltd. focusing on coaching people to achieve success and reach their potential. He is also a Director at American Athletics Scholarships Pty Ltd, which specialises in assisting student athletes study and compete in the US university system. Nick joined the LifeCircle Board in 2013.
